For those of us who are unfortunate enough to have to deal with the Illinois Board of Examiners over the last week the online system that we use to check our scores, apply to take the exam, apply for retakes, etc. has been down!

Talk about bad timing on behalf of the state. This is utterly ridiculous and I’m not going to sit here and have them give me the ole “it should be fixed by the end of today” bull. That is the literal answer I’ve gotten from them.

So, to put some pressure on them, I encourage all IL candidates and candidates to be (or if you’re not in IL but feel like calling them anyway), to call ILBOA and ask them when the site will be fixed, why it’s broken, how long they expect for it to be down, and if they understand the pressure/frustration/importance of the website being up.

I agree, if you look at the website now they stopped stating that it should be available by the end of the day:

“THE BOARD ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE. A CHANGE TO OUR ONLINE SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.”

That scares me for the upcoming score release, especially since they will have an extended holliday from Dec 23 to January 2nd.

I agree, if you look at the website now they stopped stating that it should be available by the end of the day:

@ashle2, that is my biggest fear. Is that they are trying to use this as a way to have extra time to work on the system over the extended break! The repercussions for anyone waiting for a score are incredible.

Just think, here you are stuck waiting to see if you passed or not and you have an “on the fence feeling” or you're waiting for your last score. What a crappy Holiday that would be.

@spur Agreed, this is for my last score. The wait has already been brutal. The thought of having to wait until the first of the year makes me sick. Hopefully they will get it figured out.

ILBOA's online site is down again today. I called yesterday and they had me “cross my fingers” that it would be up by the end of the day.

What a mess that is! It's been down since the 11th. Maybe they are upgrading their system so they can release scores faster and email them? How are people supposed to apply for NTS? Are they taking apps over the phone?

I just checked this mornin' and they have changed their office closure dates, saying the system should be back up the 11th?? And they Released test score for BEC as of 11/26?! WTF, I think their IT departments SUCKS!!! They better get this system working by Friday so I can get my score BEFORE the weekend!

@spur when you called the ILBOA office did they say anything about the score release?? What if the site is down and they release the scores? Can we call and get our scores?
