    Hey everybody,

I have tried to understand the CPA requirements to the best of my ability, but still have one question. I won’t be passing it before the end of the year, so I am assuming I will be under the Jan. 1, 2014 requirements.

For the 10 ethics units, do I NEED to take a Philosophy, Religion, or Theology class? According to the CalCPA website, it says:

“A maximum of three semester or four quarter units may be completed from courses taken in the following disciplines: Philosophy, Religion, or Theology.”

I have already received my 10 units of ethics through Organizational Behavior and Business Law, and seeing how it says the word ‘maximum’, I would think that I wouldn’t have to take a Philosophy, Religion, or Theology class. I was just wondering if it is required to use three units from Philosophy, Religion, or Theology towards the ten.

Sorry if this is not the right forum to post this question, but I appreciate the help!

    Thank you very much!

Agreed. When they say maximum all that means is that if you so chose to use classes in that area, the most you can apply from those subjects is that limit…
