I have question regarding to the new ethics requirement.

    https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/applicants/tip_sheet.pdf

I have taken a course BUS 320 : Legal Aspects of Business Transactions, in SFSU.

    https://www.sfsu.edu/~bulletin/courses/29845.htm

The course is actually a business law class, but SFSU uses the name, “Legal Aspects of Business Transactions.” I want to know if the bus 320 course description pertains to be a business law class, does it meet the 2014 ethics requirement? There is a Business Law under ethics section.

I asked a similar question to the CBA recently and got this response:

“Until such time as you submit a licensing application and fee, the transcripts will not be reviewed, and they will not be reviewed for the new requirements until the new requirements take effect in January 2014. To give you an idea of how strict the course title specific ethics courses will be, it has been decided that a course titled Management and Organizations would not be the same or qualify as Management of Organizations. You may choose to send inquiries to neweducationrequirements@cba.ca.gov for more information.”

They're really helpful via email, although this topic is still so up in the air. There is, however, proposed legislation to allow those who pass the exam by the end of 2013 to get licensed within 1-2 years. While I'm not sure if it will become law, it's still encouragement to pass this year!
