Question on VBOA Score Reporting

    Hi guys,

I have a question about the VBOA website. I am waiting for my REG score to come out (took on 8/31) and it has a name under the “processed by” section but the status is unchecked. Does this mean I failed the REG section? The reason I ask this is because I took FAR in May (5/31) and right before I recieved my score, I saw the same thing. I ended up failing with a 74. I have passed two sections since then and have not noticed the “processed by” section filled out. Am I crazy or is there any truth to this?

    Thanks and good luck!

I don't know for sure but doubt it would have any bearing on whether or not you passed. My guess is the state boards get the scores the same time NASBA does… otherwise non-NASBA states would be able to start posting scores sooner. I checked mine yesterday and it says the same thing as yours. Does yours not have a name in the “processed by” section for the ones you've passed?

Dont worry, worrytesttaker. It is unchecked because they only “check” it when they receive your passing score. They have a name under “processed by” for now which I think it meant they got notified that you actually took the exam.

For the two I passed, their name is in the “processed by” section. Just a little worried about REG because I do not want to have to take it again. Thanks for the help!

where are you checking your score from VBOA? I was only aware of the NASBA site.

    REG 8/31/12 Passed: 80
    FAR 1/10/13 Passed: 82
    BEC 4/4/13 Passed: 77
    AUD 5/28/13 Failed: 71 WTF?????
    AUD 7/11/13 Passed: 81
    ETHICS Passed: 93

    DONE!!!!!

🙂 I assume you are referring to the checklist, right? Really nothing to worry about, as I have noticed that they always have the name filled out a few days after taking an exam. Then they will turn “unchecked” into “completed” if we pass usually on the AICPA official score release day.

Don't stress! We will find out about the score very soon! Good luck 🙂

You are okay. You won't see any changes until they actually receive your score. Since this is your first section, you probably will see your score on the 11th which is the official AICPA score release date. But I think worriedtesttaker is referring to the checklist which you will find clicking “view checklist” after logging on. I believe you will find the person's name filled under “processed by” for whichever section you took.

WorriedTestTaker, you're fine. My AUD requirement was the same way on the checklist (it had an unchecked “processed by.”) I wound up getting a 93 on the test. The checkmark didn't show until I got the official VBOA notification letter.

    BEC - 90 PASSED
    FAR - 84 PASSED
    AUD - 93 PASSED
    REG - 84 PASSED

    I DID IT!!!!
