So I thought I read online that the scoring process was as follows:

AICPA grades then sends to NASBA

NASBA then electronically submits the scores to the State Boards.

Snail mail state board then sends them out to candidates.

However, when I called the Oregon State board on Friday they told me that NASBA doesn’t electronically send them scores. That they receive the scores from NASBA via FedEx.

So I am now confused…I knew that Oregon candidates received scores via snail mail….but I didn’t think the State Board received them via snail mail from NASBA?

Does anyone have any insight or opinion on this?

As scores are starting to trickle in for other states, I figured I'd post and see if anybody else sat at the end of the August window. I was going to wait until tomorrow before calling the OR Board but if anybody hears when they expect to have them in, or gets theirs, be sure to post here so we'll know!

Just spoke to Kim. She said they may receive the scores by the end of this week, but possibly as late as mid next week. She did say she will release results via phone and email… I really HATE being in a snail mail state 🙁 Good luck to you!!!

@kodiak: Great minds think alike. Was gonna post the exact same thing (except I wasn't gonna wait til tomorrow to call her!).

Thanks for the update Trisha. Now I'll wait until Wednesday, unless someone beats me to it (feel free!). This way I won't feel like a jerk for bombarding the poor woman constantly.

I love this thread! Kim is really nice, but I've been hesitant to call for anything other than application questions. It's nice everyone to share their insights! Does this mean that the BOA will have our scores monday or tuesday and then plus time to mail it to us?

@ceepa I hate to call too, but I hate to wait more. I did ask her if the scores will be mailed next week. She didn't answer but she did say that she would give me my score over the phone.

My understanding is that they will get the scores next week then mail them… Kim did email my score last time. The wait is TORTURE!!!! Ugh. At least we can take comfort in knowing we are all stalkers. No one person stands out as annoying 😉 haha
