Hi everyone,

A little background. I am a CPA in Virginia but I moved back to Florida(did undergrad at UF) and I find that the only thing I am missing is the second Blaw class to be CPA eligible in Florida. Does anyone have any recommendations as to a non-degree program I can use to get this one remaining class? I also am wondering what they will accept; the State of Florida won’t answer any questions about whether a particular class will count or not. For example, my blaw class at UF was at the 3000 level, Miami-Dade offers a 2000 level BLaw 2; I know one BLaw class can be at the lower division level, but is it ok if the second class in the sequence is at a lower level?

I graduated with an undergraduate accounting degree from UCF and found I had the same problem as you, needed 3 more credit hours of b.law. The State of Florida BOA was pretty apathetic towards my problem but I did eventually extract from them that Business Law 2 from my community college was acceptable. After completing this course they accepted me and was able to sit for my exams.
