Just wanting someone else’s opinion. I take audit on July 13th (hopefully pass the first time) and then I’m thinking about taking a month off and starting back studying mid August to retake FAR. I’m on an audit out of town for two weeks and then another week out of town following that on a different audit, and I’m in-charge of both these audits. These are the only two jobs I’m in-charge of and it adds extra pressure and longer hours. My question is would you take off a month; it would cause me to retake FAR in October instead of August and I would have to drive two hours away to another town in October b/c my local testing center is full in October? Plus my Becker software expires on Feb 3 for FAR and REG.

Respond or not…just asking to get a fellow test taker’s point of view.

    Thanks in advance!!

    FAR 69, 74, 78
    REG 69, 69, 69, 82
    BEC 75
    AUD 76

I can give you advice on one of the many things you discussed. Keep checking the dates for the testing center they do always open up, because people change their dates, they add more times or whatever the reason is.

As long as you're not cutting it close with losing one of your passing scores or your NTS expiring, I think it's okay to wait. I'm a staff on a very complicated audit client and I have a senior who has been on this engagement forever. Because she doesn't have the time to study, she keeps failing her exams and then losing her credits. If you know that you'll get the time back after those two audit engagements are done, I think it's okay to wait.

    REG (2/24/12) - 89
    AUD (4/5/12) - 89
    FAR (5/31/12) - 91
    BEC (7/7/12) - 84
