Hello,
Just received an email from COMPED – NYSED that they cannot count in my PGDBA as it is done from a Distance Learning Institute
I am quoting their email
“I have reviewed the educational credentials received in support of your application for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant in New York State. The educational requirements for licensure are listed in the application materials for Certified Public Accountant. On the basis of information received, your education cannot be approved at this time.
On-line accounting courses can only be considered if they are taken at a college or university that meets our accreditation standards and if the college or university also has a ground campus with a degree program in accountancy that offers the same courses, online.
In reviewing your education documents, we are unable to find any information in our resources for the Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning. In order for study to be considered towards our education requirements for licensure, the school must be recognized by the government as a postsecondary, degree-granting, institution. We will need a letter or other confirmation sent to us directly from the appropriate postsecondary education recognition authority in India, attesting to the government-recognition of Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning as a degree-granting, postsecondary school.”
Can anyone please guide me what shall I do further?
Thanks
Janki
