Anybody have experience with submitting a pre-evaluation to identify academic deficiencies ?

I would like to eventually apply for a Massachusetts non-reporting license, and I am not certain that my past and ongoing education will meet the requirements.

Any advice on applying would be appreciated

Well first of all do you have a master's degree? That is required for a non reporting license. To use 150 credits you'll need 1 year experience in public accounting.

Hi Wendy,

I can't speak to MA, but I submitted a pre-evaluation to the Colorado board. I don't think we have a difference between reporting and non-reporting, but they got back to me about 3 weeks after submission.

I did my undergraduate degree outside of the U.S., so I think step 1 (even before the pre-evaluation) is to have a international credential evaluation done…

mla1169, I have an MBA from a fancy U.S. school, so I think I will not have trouble meeting that particular requirement of the non-reporting license.
