ShanMember@mrogovitz–If you fall into ” AECR required”, yes, you have to get it.
There are some details regarding who should submit AECR on the application document (the link I sent you). You can read it first.
You also can call MA board and they will tell you what you should get before you mail the stuff. 🙂

ShanMember@neika822–Hey there, you finished!!!!! Big congratulations!!!! 🙂
I don't think we need to wait for the congratulation letter. That only shows your score and when you passed.
You can check the link I sent above and see if you need a AECR. If not, you can directly mail out your stuff to MA board, I guess.
Or you can call them up for more information regarding your situation~~

neika822ParticipantI need to get an AECR first. I'll do that! Thanks for the help 🙂
I've heard that the application process is almost as rough as the exam itself. My friend, also in MA, passed about six months ago (it seems, anyway) and just rec'd her AECR. She didn't have much fire to get the process done.

ShanMember@neika822–compared your friend, I was lucky…4 weeks! I mailed my app this Tuesday to board.
I kept calling them and talked to MA coordinators regarding my status though…:(
By the way, you also will receive email notices from them after you pay so you can know where you are standing. 🙂
Good Luck!

mrogovitzMemberI just spoke to the MA Board and they said I should wait for the congratulatory letter. When I looked up how long that takes, the NASBA site says those who pass in the Oct./Nov. window should receive the letter by Jan. 1. However, I didn't bother to ask them if I can start sending in anything else prior to receiving the congratulatory letter. I'm not in a terrible hurry so I'll just wait for the letter and go from there. A friend of mine who passed a few years ago also said he waited for the letter which had all the instructions for how to proceed.

neika822ParticipantMy friend took her time with the application.
I wonder if my AECR will go through, then. I didn't wait very long, obviously not for my letter. We'll see!
