Pennsylvania Requirements

I’m from PA and passed all four sections back in February 2010 and haven’t received anything from NASBA. Not even the usual letter that says I passed Financial Accounting & Reporting (which was my last exam). Am I supposed to submit something to NASBA? I have called numerous times and keep getting different answers. If anyone has passed the CPA in PA please let me know what you did or receive in the mail so that I can contact a representative from the Board. Is there even an ethics exam for PA that needs to be completed or a certificate that they issue? This sucks!

    Thanks!n

    Hi Stacy,
nPA doesn't have an ethics exam. Just the additional CPE ethics hours that they just added. Unfortunately I don't know the answers to your other questions. Hope you find out soon!n

I just passed in Penn. I did receive the final FAR score. No Ethics, just really difficult experience requirement.

I would be worried about that, call Nasba, maybe it got lost in the mail.

Thanks guys! Pursuit…when did you pass your last exam? Maybe PA just takes a while. I checked so many websites and I still don't know what there work requirements are! I am currently an auditor working at KPMG for the last three years and worked in Tax for two years before so I am hoping I meet their requirements…moreso, I am hoping that they send me something that I can show my job regarding my completion of the CPA exam!n

    CPA EXAM - Passed

Stacy – It must have gotten lost in the mail. I passed my last exam in the February and received my congratulatory letter by the middle of April. I think waiting on NASBA is a waste of time. However, It appears from looking at your state website there is a requirement to submit your last copy of the Uniform CPA Examaination notice from NASBA. READ Section 3 on your application. The congratulatory letter is not acceptable. With that I would call NASBA and request a copy of my FAR score notice that will show the passing scores for all of the exams.

It does appear all the forms for licensure and experience verifications are available on the PA website. I have heard PA is a bear for their experience requirements. Go download the Verification of Experience form at the bottom and it shows your requirements for experience.

    Congrats on passing. Good Luck.n
