    I transferred my credit from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania board of accountancy. But I have a problem as after I applied, I found reference document to be applied and it must include 3 reference who are residents in Pennsylvania.

    Pleases anyone advise about this point what is suggested and how can solve this problem as I am international candidate and don’t have reference residents in Pennsylvania.

    What part of the state are you in? I was going to suggest first calling the PA board of accountancy and explaining the situation to them. If that doesn't work, I was going to suggest joining your local AICPA branch, meeting people and then asking for sign off.

    If you're in philly…we can have coffee. If I feel comfortable, I'll be one.

    @aaronmo – that unfortunately won't work. You need to have known him for at least 3 years.

    @sayed, get people from out of PA to sign and attach a sheet explaining that you have just moved etc. and thus cannot provide references from PA residents. Cannot be your relatives. One HAS to be a PA CPA. I'd worry a lot more about finding a CPA you've known for 3 years who can vouch for you. The board can likely give you a waiver and let you get a reference from a CPA licensed in another state; not sure they'll agree to drop the CPA part altogether.

    @aaronmo thanks for your reply but I am international candidate not from USA and I read at the website there is no residency requirements to set for examination at PA.

    If you found any solution, appreciate your help.

    @Son Thanks for your help

    It's actually simple, apply and sit for exams in a different state, then transfer the scores to PA. Has NASBA already evaluated your foreign transcripts? Did they confirm you're eligible to get licensed in PA? Also, you do know you'll need work experience under the supervision of a CPA? Won't get licensed without it.
