    Hello,

My name is Blayne, and I passed the CPA exam in NY. If someone could explain exact what needs to be done next it would be greatly appreciated (i.e.: forms to fill out).

If anybody has any experience with the next steps after passing the exam in NY it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,

    -Blayne

    Form 1: Required

Form 2: Only fill out if you completed your education requirements in another state than where you are applying for your licence / country.

    Form 4: Required

Form 4B: Send to your employers. The CPA that is certifying your experience must be a NYS registered CPA. If they aren't your experience may not be counted. It must also be sent by the CPA themselves.

Contact the NY NASBA and request they forward your education/transcripts to the Board of Accountancy for initial licensure along with your grades.

Application fee: Send a check or money order.

Follow up with your CPAs to make sure they sent all the forms. Then follow up with the Board of Accountancy in about 2-3 weeks to see if they received everything. If they did, they will say all your documents were sent to the board for review…

Then it's just waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Currently 14-16 weeks for your license.

    Good luck!

    FAR - PASSED!
    REG - PASSED!!
    BEC - PASSED!!!
    AUD - PASSED!!!!

Pending license - COME ON NYS BOA!
