    I recently passed the CPA exam and have been searching for what your employer must fill out for you for your experience. I saw posts on here for TN but they were older and the links no longer work. I have searched the TN website and searched using yahoo. Every link I come across though does not work any longer. I realize I am probably over looking it but I would really appreciate any help. Thank you so much.

    I have not passed YET, but you can go to state of TN, Board of Accountancy, there is a link under the regulatory board, applicant resources.

    I'm sorry but I still can't find it. That is the website I have been looking at. I don't see that link under regulatory board. I have also looked at all of the forms and downloads and it only seems to be if you are retiring your license or changing your name etc. Nothing to do with the form for experience. Again I'm sure I'm being silly and overlooking it but I have searched everything that looked like it might be remotely linked to the CPA exam and still cannot find it.

    The TN State Board of Accountancy will send you a package with all the forms that are needed for your initial license. They will do this once they receive your file from NASBA and they review your file. The Board does not have the needed forms on their web site. The contact for initial license at the Board is Brenda Demastus (brenda.demastus@tn.gov). She is the person will send the package to you that has the forms. She was very helpful when I had questions.

    I went through this process last year and it did not really take long. I took my last section on July 19, 2012 and my license was official on Sept. 4, 2012. Once I received the package, I filled out the forms and had my supervisor complete the experience form. I sent it back to the Board the next day or two after receiving it.

    You might need to go to NASBA, licensure, products & services, then go to accountancy licensing library.

    Other than that you may have to contact the TN Board of Accountancy and maybe they can send you the correct the link to you. I think they have a live chat too…

    Congrats on the pass….will you be practicing in TN or a reciprocal state?

    tncincy – I work in Nashville for the Metro Government in the Finance Dept. I have been there over 23 years – as an internal auditor for 16 years and now I work in accounting and financial reporting.

    Thank you both for the help. It is very much appreciated. I am not sure if I will be practicing in TN or not. That was my plan in the beginning but I got laid off so now I am just searching for a job. I will try to work either in TN or AL.

    Congrats Roy89699 and good luck tncincy! It is nice to see other Tennesseans out there! šŸ™‚

    KelzMS,

    I know that there are a few postings in Memphis, Nashville, and Huntsville, AL I found on the National Society of Accountants website. I'm sure you can find jobs through other sites as well.

    @Roy89699,

    Hey that's great. I am looking to get attest experience after I pass the exam of course, do you know the best way to approach a company or maybe apply as an auditor I with the state? ( hope this makes sense).
