So I passed all 4 parts of the exam in December but I still need to go back to school to get the 150 credits. Once you pass all 4 parts, do they ever expire?

I took the exam in PA.

I was “fortunate” (I guess) enough that I became eligible for the exam, when the requirement to SIT for the exam in Florida was 150 hours. I always caution those now to get those hours asap. Not sure if I'd do it the same way today, but I'm glad I didn't have the choice. Less work today!

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

Me too. The only reason I need additional classes is because I wasn't an accounting major and didn't meet the 36 upper level accounting classes to be licensed. If only they would just let me substitue with my business master's classes I wouldn't have to go back to school after this. Oh well–I knew what I was getting into when I signed up.

For the record, New Jersey does not expire either:

    https://www.njscpa.org/index/students/cpa-exam/faqs

“How long do I have to meet my educational requirements (the 30 extra credits) after passing the CPA exam?

Once you pass the CPA Exam, these credits do not expire. You can take as long as you want to obtain the additional educational credits and experience requirements. However, those three little letters, CPA, will certainly boost your resume, so don’t wait too long.”

According to the South Carolina state board of accountancy, SC currently has no expiration date either, if anyone was wondering.

In Oregon, we have 8 years:

From OARS Division 10 / 801-010-0065 (1)(d): “The experience and examination requirements must be obtained and completed within eight years immediately preceding the date of application for a license.”

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Where can you find information in your state jurisdiction to see if they expire?

    Audit: 91
    FAR: 87
    REG: 87
    BEC: 86

@Kaymans: It's probably best to call your state board of accountancy office. Nothing was mentioned about it on the website for South Carolina, so I called and got an answer in less than a minute.

Pretty sure NJ's never expires! And Christie just signed off on a bill to do away with the CPA death penalty! The CPA death penalty was that if a CPA was inactive for 5 years they would have to take all 4 parts of the CPA exam again and pass them to reinstate their license. This ,of course, was the end of an accountant's career as a CPA because it would be hard to retake them. Hence the death penalty. Now, the penalty is to take several CPE's to reinstate the license.

Do my Exam credits expire for Colorado?

No. Once you have successfully completed all four sections of the Exam, your scores will not expire.
