Oklahoma Requirement for 30 Hours of Accounting Classes Question

Hello all! I am brand new to the world of accounting, so much so I am still trying to complete the necessary 30 hours of accounting to be able to sit for the CPA. I’m taking the remaining classes from an online college, but I have a question regarding the accounting classes I took obtaining my undergraduate degree (Business Administration, Management Information Systems) from Oklahoma State University. Would anyone be able to tell me if ACCT 2103 & 2203 (Financial & Managerial Accounting) count toward those 30 hours? The educations requirement language on the Oklahoma Accountancy websites reads, “A minimum of 30 semester hours of accounting course credits above principles of accounting or introductory accounting”. I can’t tell if that means those two classes would count or not, since they are technically considered introductory in the fact they are required accounting classes for any business major at Oklahoma State.

I contacted the Oklahoma Accountancy on the issue, and they really wouldn’t give me a firm answer on if those classes would count or not. They basically said I would have to go through the lengthy candidate application process to find out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated to any noobs such as myself!!
