    Hello everyone,

Does anyone knows how long will New York State NASBA holds first time applications for the exam until they drop it?

I submitted my first time application not long ago to NASBA and in the same day requested my school to send in my transcript. For some reason, my school cannot find my record and told me it will take about 1-2 weeks to process my transcript request. That means it will take NASBA at least 3-4 weeks to get my transcript in the mail.

I am worried that NASBA will drop my application and ate up my money before my transcript arrive (praying that it will not be lost in mail). Does anyone know how long does NASBA holds your application and fees until they drop it because of missing transcript?

    Please help. Thanks everyone!

I had an issue with one of my transcripts not arriving. I was angry at both sides (college & NASBA) but there was nothing anyone could do about it. I finally decided to bite the bullet and overnight a new transcript for $30. I received my acceptance I couple days later, but in the end I am happy I spent the $30 and received the ability to apply for a NTS, rather than being stubborn and losing the $50 application fee due to someone else's misplacement of my transcript. Good luck!

    This is happening to me.

I had the College of San Mateo send the transcript on June 10, and here on July 13 my application still shows MISDOC.

I called and was told they are missing it. I had it resent on July 8, and it still shows MISDOC: Education Documents Missing

Should I keep calling, should I ask to speak personally to the Montana coordinator? I left a voice mail and she never returned my call. Should I try emailing?

    This NASBA seems incompetent.

Or is this a conspiracy to keep me from testing?

NYS is pretty fast, at least in my case. Contact the state coordinator, they respond pretty quickly. Also, did you go through that electronic process of requesting the transcript online and having it sent directly to NASBA? I remember it took about 1-2 weeks for my first NTS, and ever since, I apply and get a NTS the very next day now.

    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

Ok, I'll ask to speak or contact the Montana state coordinator directly.

Yes, I had the colleges send the transcripts directly to the Nashville PO Box. I had 5 transcripts from 5 different colleges sent and customer service confirmed that 4 did arrive, but not the 5th. I sent the 5th again.

Do you ask to speak with the coordinator or is email enough?

Customer service told me that it takes them a long time (1 week +) to open the mail and record the transcript as received. I don't want to bug them because I am afraid of losing my temper with them, and causing discontent. I have a short fuse with slow bureaucracy, and it is not like I (we) have another choice. NASBA has a monopoly on the CPA testing.

Apparently they received the second copy I had the college send them because I see this message on my board:

“Your file appears to be complete. The evaluation of your application is in progress. If any additional information is needed, you will be contacted by your State Coordinator.”
