I found out I was put in the licensing queue on 11/22. They said my license number should appear on the website in about 4 weeks and then receive the paper license one week later. I'll keep everyone posted in case the timelines change.

Anyone still waiting impatiently for updates on NYS license? Submitted my application around September 20th. All documents were reviewed and submitted to the Board around October 22 and still have not received an e-mail or license number yet to date.

I'd probably give them a call just to check and make sure something didn't go wrong.
3+ months from mailing seems like an awfully long wait. The website says they are currently reviewing docs from mid December.

Here's my current time-line.

My application was moved to the board for review on October 4. Application was approved on December 17.

Currently waiting on license #. (Email said 4-6 weeks)

I did not receive an email when my application was approved. I used the ‘contact us' through the website to request for status updates, and they are pretty quick to respond via email.

@Recked It has been a long wait. I may wait until next week to give a call though, given @Carbonated‘s timeline. I'm sure the holidays may have also add to the delay in reviews or processing.

Received an update that my application was approved the 31st of December. Just now waiting on license number!

Same here K. I submitted on 10/21 and was approved on 12/31. They said 4-6 weeks to provide license. I wonder if that means until I receive the certificate in the mail. That means that they are behind in updating the online system with license numbers as well. I have not shown up as of today and the last one I see issued is 132228.

The license fee check cleared my account on 11/6. I asked for an update through email and was told that my application was forwarded to the review board on 11/26. I haven't heard anything since. I didn't think the review would take over a month.

@charlesrskinner yes, they do seem to be very behind on processing. I'm glad to find out that the license has finally been approved by the Board though. Didn't expect it to take this long!

Finally got my license from New York State!!!

Here is my timeline:

Mailed Application: 09/12/19
Application forwarded to Board: 10/01/19
Application Approved and sent to Processing Unit: 12/10/19
License Number posted on website: 12/31/19
License received in the mail: 01/06/20
