It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

What does it mean they are upto August 30? granting license, or reviewing?

I called this morning, they are processing applications that were sent to the board on 9/4!

@ Green – After you submit the application and once it is “approved”, they send it to the board of accountancy for approval. Then there is another wait for the board to review it. My application was submitted and my check was cashed on July 5th, but was not sent to the board until Sept 10th. Hopefully if they get to my application next week and then its another 2 weeks to be issued the license. – from my understanding!

    Thanks, @Halfpint31190
so you're saying it takes about 2 months to submit the application to the board. and then there are about 2-3 weeks until actually getting license? I am wondering once my education is sent over to the board are there chances them not approving it? meaning is it sort of pre approved if it gets sent to the board?

Well in my case, I had all of my transcripts sent directly from the schools (five of them!) the last week of June. I followed up about two weeks after July 5th, they said they had everything. Followed up another two weeks later for status, they were missing a transcript from Stony Brook. Stony Brook confirmed it was delivered but they resent it. Followed up again a few weeks later (late August) and they said they had everything. Followed up 9/13 and they said that had forwarded it to the board 9/10 and that it would be another 8-16 weeks to process by the board and then 1-2 weeks for license to be issued. From everything I have learned in this thread, you must keep on top and keep calling and following up. I also sent an email in the beginning of September and they only replied to it last week…. I would not rely on your education being sent to the board by NASBA (I sent all of my transcripts to NASBA and they were never forwarded to the state). Good luck!

I called today and was told I'd get my license in 7 – 10 business days. Does this mean I've already been “approved” or does it mean they expect the Board to approve me in 7 – 10 business days? The lady kinda rushed me off the phone.

When would I appear on the website?

For reference, I applied the first week of September. I forget exactly when.
