It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

    @ re2pect – Congratulations! Great feeling….

    Finally licensed, my timeline:

    – Application (Form 1 & Form 4B) received by NASBA on 7/6
    – Application sent to Board on 8/3
    – License # issued 10/17

I never found out the date of approval other than someone confirming that is' being issued.

Good luck everyone, just like the exam it takes time but it eventually happens

Hi, I am new to the thread.
How long on average can I expect from when I submit the application up until actually receiving my license?

I've been following these posts for a while now – but my first time posting!

I finally passed my final part last month! I sent in my application & work experience forms which were received last week. I emailed to confirm they have received everything needed and I was informed they are missing my education. Can anyone help tell me what I need to do? I think NASBA had all of my education information from when i first applied to take the exams. Can NASBA send that information over, or do I have to have each school fill out those education forms and send it along with my transcripts. I can't imagine it will be an easy task to get each school to do this. If NASBA is able to send this information over, how do i go about starting that process?

    Thanks in advance!

I did not go through that process, but if I were you I would state with your NASBA state coordinator and ask if they can send along your education to NY.
That would seem to be the least painless method. But while you are waiting for that to happen I would also do a transcript request for each school, just to cover your bases.
The sooner you get everything to NYS, the sooner you can get licensed. Leave no stone unturned.

@ Recked – Thanks man! Finally feels good to stick those letter next to my name!! Even with passing the tests, I never felt settled with this until I saw my name online. Now to research CPE requirements etc…still beats studying for the tests by a mile.

    @Almost-cpa
    – My transcripts were sent to NASBA for my approval to sit for the exam. They emailed me stating to let them know once I passed as then they would forward it to the State Board. I confirmed with them and they did so relatively quickly. I emailed them two or three times, as I was paranoid about them actually sending the transcript. Also besides my main degree, I have 5 other schools which I ‘attended' to rack up credits, and I really wanted to avoid going through all of them again (I did it already for the initial NASBA approval). I would reach out to NASBA first, but it certainly couldn't hurt to get the schools to send them in, best of luck

@RS2018 – Congratulations! Thanks for the info. I had sent all my transcripts to NASBA before I sat for the exams as well and would love to avoid doing it again. I sent NASBA an email and hopefully they respond and can send it over quickly.. otherwise i'll just have to send them from each school again just in case! Glad to know I'm on the right track.

@almost-cpa based on my experience in the past I was more efficient when actually talking on the phone to the coordinator. They weren't communicating promtly via email.

    Hello,

I sent my application on 8/21/2018 and the check was cashed the next day 08/22/2018. Today (10/23/2018) I’m reading this forum and found out you can call and ask for the status of your application. As such, I decided to called and was informed that my education information was never provided by NASBA (After 8-9 weeks “SMH”). The person that I spoked to advised to re-order the transcript and sent as express mail, because NASBA takes “forever” (There goes $120 in transcripts). Anyone knows how long it takes after reaching the board? Do I go back to the 14-16 weeks once again?
Hint: Don’t trust NASBA to send your education info, call ahead or while you are taking the exams!

That sucks to hear another story like this. I am afraid you will still have a substantial wait after your education is finally sent.
I'd contact NASBA and ask them to resend, and also contact your schools to request transcripts again. The more avenues you have available to attempt to accomplish your goal, the better off you will be.
