    It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

    Thanks Ahmed. Application forwarded first half of May. I don't want to give the exact day because I'm a little paranoid that NYS monitors these boards….

    @Halfpint:
    The first rule of NYS OED is…. there are no rules to NYS OED. But seriously, from where we stand it seems that there is no protocol whatsoever in regards to processing these applications or response times etc… The only thing that has remained “consistent” is the 3-4 month processing time.

    Thanks in anticipation!!

    Apii, you should use passed all sections of the CPA exam on your resume.

    CPAAcademy.org is not actually listed on the NYS website as a NY approved CPE sponsor, but they are NASBA approved.
    From what I can find any course in NYS needs to be approved by NYS or by NASBA. My main focus/concern is IRS EA credits, but I'll have to research the NYS requirement further before betting my license on these hours.

    more info from the NYS website here – https://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/cpa/mcesponsors.htm
    Confirms NASBA approved sponsors are accepted. – Taking a CPE course from a NASBA-registered CPE provider.
    The website I referenced has sponsor ID#111889 and it passes the NASBA online check. Available here https://www.nasbaregistry.org/sponsor-list

    Hey Guys,

    I did call today, I didn't ask what date they are processing. They told me that my application was sent to the board Sept 10 and to allow an additional 8-16 weeks for processing and another 2 weeks for the issuance of the licensing. Is this for real? Could it be possible that this whole process will take 6 months???

    Oh and when people call and say they are processing July applications, does that mean when it was sent to the board? BTW they never even replied to my email over a week ago.

    As of 9/14, they were processing 7/3 applications. Can someone explain how to see how many license numbers have been given out?

    Does processing mean that they have been sent back from the board for the license number to be issued? Or that the board is currently review 7/3 applications? My application was forward to the board on 7/5. I'm just trying to figure out how my timeline works.

    Sorry for the confusion, the board is reviewing those applications.
