It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the updates – sounds like they're ahead of their ‘schedule' but I'm sure they'll find a way to keep it at 3 months

A bit off topic, but would anyone happen to know what paper size the NYS CPA certificate is?

If you search back through my posts you'll see a whole thread devoted to frames, etc.

E-mailed them to ask what date the board is currently processing and was told that the board does not notify them of the date… Hmmmm…. sounds like somebody doesn't know what they're talking about, seeing how everyone seems to receive a date when they call.

I think people inquire about the dates the review staff is working on. They can then back into what date the board is on based on other people's submission time.
ie: People call and ask what dated applications they are currently reviewing. Then compare it to the date they sent in their application. They figure out the board's date by extrapolating when other posters post here about approval.
Not sure if that makes any sense to you, but re-read the thread and you'll see the patterns, which you can then use to extrapolate your own time frame.

Back to reality!! …. here is my journey,

Just a background…. Originally, I applied and sat my exam in GA then moved to a B4 Firm and they encourage everyone to get their License in NYC, after three busy seasons and procrastinating I finally applied for my license in NYC and transferred my scores as well from GA.

Apr 16th – Requested NASBA to Transfer Scores
Apr 19th – Sent in Application and payment.
Apr 19th – Firm sent in experience form
Apr 20th – Request Official Transcripts from school
Apr 24th – Sent email to confirm all documents received and received confirmation same day stating –
    1. NASBA form had no scores included and 2. my employer missed a question on experience form.

Apr 25th – Forwarded email to NASBA requesting them to resend scores
Apr 25th – Forward email to HR for Partner to complete new form ( Employer on Vacation until mid day, Yay ☹)
Apr 27th – Confirmed with NY Board rep. that score report was received
May 29th – Got confirmation that New Experience Form was sent
May 30 – Jun 6th – Multiple emails sent asking if experience form was received yet – Sent in Fedex confirmation to prove delivery.

Jul 11th – Sent email for update on application status, received same day confirmation application was send to Board for approval on June 15th

Aug 29th – Name Appears on website

So from beginning to end with my delays the process took about 4 months for me. I'm really happy its all over.
Apr – Jun 15th – Handling application processing with Reps
    Jun – 15th – Aug – Board Processing
Good Luck to everyone still waiting and be proactive in following up via email to ensure they have everything they need from you.
