It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

I called at about 2pm and they said that they had not gotten to me yet, but that they are processing 4/9 and they received my application on 4/9. The women estimated that there were approximately 20 application for 4/9, so when they move on to 4/10 we can get an idea of about how many apps they process in a day.

April 11th. Sounds like you should be approved. Hopefully

Well I hope everyone had a better day then I did. I was 4/3 and called friday after seeing on here that they were past that date they said it hadn't been approved yet figured its friday afternoon whatever I'll call next week. So I called back this morning and was told my application was on hold and to call extension 160. When I did I was told by a women that they emailed me friday when I said I never received the email the lady got sassy/short and said check your spam folder over and over while talking over me as I said I had checked every folder and I never received it. When I told her to confirm the email address low and behold they spelled it incorrectly. (and was not returned to sender so some random person got my information) Once they forwarded it to me it stated that my only audit course (bachelors wasn't accounting but did a masters to get the required course) wasn't going to be counted towards the 1 audit class I needed (NASBA already approved it to sit). I then asked to speak to her manager or the CPA Board member that was originally emailing me in regards to the problem she told me “theyre all busy” when I asked for the board members direct email address she told me “no” (no reason why just no) when I asked for the board members direct extension she again said “no shes busy”. I'm beyond furious at the shear disrespect an public employee (admin assistant) would give a person just trying to get real clarification on why its not accepted when NASBA already approved it and what I need to do to rectify the situation. Best of luck to all waiting NYS is such a F******* joke.

Thats terrible. The whole process from start to finish is awful and makes no sense. And why were you able to get through the original processing if your education wasnt accepted? Its borderline impossible to get a real answer from any of these people. Call james franklin at nasba. Hes the only person who has been even a little helpful on my end.

That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out and why I wanted to speak to someone with more knowledge and not a admin assistant. Hes the one that approved the class to begin with. I'm just so livid as here I am thinking I'm 2 weeks away from being a CPA and now I might have to go back to school for a whole semester because of some bureaucratic BS.

Anyone called today? I'm going to give them a call at lunch to see what date they are on.

cp3 – That's horrible. I'm terrified I'm going to hear something like that about my application when my date comes up. I'm really hoping this gets resolved in your favor. NASBA really should be held accountable for their mistake if in fact the class was approved when it shouldn't have been and NYS should own up to not confirming that you received that communication for something this important.

They haven't put a new license on the website for like 3 days. The 2nd part of waiting is also rough.

Congrats on being close to the end!!! I'm still waiting for a response on my questions about why NASBA approved my audit class but NYS is trying to deny it.

I wouldnt suggest doing anything by email. The responses will take days and the responses are not helpful, from what I have heard.
