It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

So I should have the transcripts sent directly to the Board instead of through NASBA (my 150 hrs were approved last year prior to the tests)? If that's better, cool, but I have 5 (attended one university and 4 to rack up qualifying creds), which kind of sucks but better than studying!

Still 4/3. My frustration level is indescribable.

This concludes my rant. It was a great ride folks.

03/08/2018 – All items received by board
    06/12/2018 – Board approved
06/20/2018 – Information received by processing department
06/27/2018 – License # issued after pleading my case, they told me my date was 07/02/2018 (extension #270)

@Mick- Any idea what the woman's name was? I called NASBA a couple days ago and spoke to a girl named McKayla. She said they still had my transcripts and hadn't sent them to NY yet because they needed to verify I had taken a business communications course, which I told her I did. She said she would make a note of it and send it to them this week.

I haven't submitted my application yet, but plan on doing so in the next week once I hit my 1 year experience.

@RE2PECT-yes that is the woman at nasba i was dealing with. Her name is mykala biggerstaff. I would recommend speaking with her supervisor. Unfortunately I cant remember his name. She single-handedly cost me two months because of her incompetence. I want to guess his name was ____ washington but I could be wrong.

@Mick- I'm glad you brought that up! Now I know I have to stay on top of this. She seemed nice on the phone and said she would take care of it. I think I initially spoke to a guy named James Franklin, who is supposed to be the one in charge of CPA Exam Services for NY and he forwarded me to her.

I was hoping NASBA would take care of my transcripts or I'd have to reach out to 3 different schools and pay more fees to have everything sent to NY.

Biggerstaff cost me a month. Had to call and email like 8 times to ensure that my education was sent to NYS.

Mick I feel your frustration, I can't believe they are only on 4/3 still, my date is so close. I'm so ready to go off on someone at this point. What a process.

The fact that they needed to verify something on my transcript and never bothered reaching out to me is concerning. If I hadn't called they wouldn't have done anything and my transcripts would still be sitting there instead of being sent to NY. I passed my last exam in March 2017!

I had the same problem with biggerstaff and my education. I called every day for a week and half. Finally I got someone else on the phone and she found that my transcripts were put in someone else's folder that was alphabetically next to mine. She cost me a good 2 weeks in total.

    Wow, so many horror stories.
I suggest that everyone play the odds and use as many means of delivery as you are able to.

Wow. I had just about the same experience as Mick with the same person. Took her a good 2 months to realize she already had everything she needed before she finally forwarded my documentation to NYS. She told me a number of slightly varying reasons of why my transcripts hadn't been sent to the point I just ended up sending additional copies directly to NYS anyway because I felt like I couldn't rely on anything she told me anymore. If not for that I'd probably have my license number by now.

I guess I'll just reach out to the registrars of the schools I went to and have them send my transcripts directly to NYS. Not worth adding on to the already long process of getting my license.

RE2PECT-yes, james franklin is the gentleman that helped me. The worst part about this woman is that my emails to her went unanswered for weeks at a time. She told me one time that she spoke with someone at NYS and that they had everything they needed. I followed up with NYS about two weeks later and they said she was wrong and they were still waiting on my education information. I paid to have my transcript sent to her 3 different ways. It wasnt until I spoke with James Franklin that I got everything taken care of.

RE2PECT-if you google your schools name and ‘transcript’ you can probably do it all online.

Mick- Yea I'm just going to pay the schools to send everything and not rely on someone else to do it for me. Glad I posted in here and found all this out. Good luck to everyone still waiting on their application.
