I applied for non reporting and got the letter that i needed to submit the experience.

My AECR fall under requirement 2 option 3 ; Bacculaureate degree in business with 30 hours accounting undergrad 24 hours of business and 150 hours or more of total education.

I actually had a Master degree in Finance from Webster university, and they evaluated my transcript.

My question is why do i need to have an experience since I have a Master degree in Finance.

Has anybody experienced with this ?

Did your AECR stated that you have a graduate degree?

If its not stated then you have to alert NASBA to reevaluate your transcripts again.

Did you sit for all sections under MA or transferring?

@stoleway – No , They did not stated anything about Master degree besides I have a BA in Business ( which I actually have BA in accounting from international country ) . They stated only hours from accounting and business with 150 hours or more of total education.

Could you please guide me how I should email them to reevaluate my transcript ? I am an international student. I am not sure what should be a good approach about this ? Thank you so much.

I just need more information, were you approved initially under MA to sit for the exams or you're just transferring from a different state? If you were approved under MA to sit, did you provide them your masters degree transcript to MA prior to approval to sit?

My situation is that I was approved to sit for the exam in Illinois and I passed all sections. I have transferred the passing score from Illinois to MA.

I submitted all transcript to NIES and NASBA to evaluate my transcript. I received the AECR letter stated that I had a BA in business with total 150 hours or more ( No mention about Master degree on the AECR letter).

Ok I'm going through the same process so I'm kind of scared to face the same situation.

If you look at the MA non-reporting form page 1 section 4 , it says that the AECR must show that you have a masters degree so if NASBA doesn't report that then you're in trouble. I will advise that you email nasba licensing service to get a clarification on that. It could be an oversight.

My AECR should be in tomorrow and I will check and give you feedback if mine happen to be the same.

The last email I received from them was that my education has passed quality assurance and have been found eligible for licensure. I hope this is not some kind of hoax. Did you receive a confirmation from nasba licensing that you're eligible for licensure?

I have a Bsc in accounting and finance, as well as MBA in accounting and finance.

Send them an email tonight and ask why they forgot to state your graduate degree in the AECR since MA has given specific instruction that a graduate degree should be stated if you have one.

They're pretty quick with answering questions, so go ahead and send them an email.

Yes I received my AECR and everything looks good, they stated that I have a masters degree.

I just mailed my application packet a moment after getting home from work. I'm now waiting for a license.

I don't know which number you called, I even talked to them today without much hassle.

@stoleway, so May I ask what did your AECR say ? I called NASBA and I could not reach the coordinator. I left voicemail and no phone call return. I emailed them – still no response. I called the board at MA – No one pick up the phone. I am a little frustrated now since the letter said that i need to submit the employment verification within next 3 weeks which i do not have since i expect to have use my master degree as an exemption.
