Hi I wonder if anyone in this forum had an experience with the New Jersey application process.
I am graduating this May 2014 with 150 credits. However, some of my credits were told by my friends that are duplicated and may have to take some extra classes.
I really want to start my CPA application now before I get crazy studying for my final exams and I have enough time to summit all my required documents and sit for the first exam in early July.
I also want to start my application for the exam to see if I actually have to take some extra credits to get my 150 because I need it to start my job.
If in the case that I need some extra credits, with my Bachelor’s degree, am I still eligible to take the exam this summer? I have everything except for the 2 semester of Finance courses which I read somewhere that I can fill out a waiver for it. Did anyone go through the same thing?
My goal is to get all 4 parts done this summer before I start my full time job in September. However, I know that the NTS will expire in 6 months. So just in case I feel like I need to have more time to take all the 4 parts, I think I should apply for 2 parts first and then another 2 parts later. Do you think I still have enough time to apply for the 2 parts after let say I take my first exam and feel comfortable with the exam process and decide to get all of them done that summer?
Thank you so much for your help! all inputs are appreciated even you are not from New Jersey but have had a similar experience with the exam.
