New Hampshire Candidate but I live in Utah. Is this a good idea?!

I took the CPA exams as a NH candidate back in 2010 between Aug and Nov and didn’t pass. During the past 4.5 years, I’ve gotten my MAcc and MBA respectively. This time I am more focused and more eager to pass. However I’ve also moved to UT during this time period and I really don’t want to go through the whole application process.

I was wondering if its a good idea to stick with the NH candidacy and then have my scores transferred to UT once I pass. I heard that UT can be a hard place to get licensed if one doesn’t apply directly through the State.

Thoughts, suggestions?! I don’t plan on staying in UT for long, we might be moving to another State in a few years.

I would compare the costs of meeting the requirements of both states and their reciprocity rules to identify the more lenient ones. In addition, if you want to be licensed in NH, wouldn't you have to travel from UT to NH to take the tests? Seems like quite the travel costs; not to mention time off from work.

The other option is the 3rd state you might move to but you could also look into neighboring states in case UT is not feasible.
