I got my notification of passing FAR from the state of Florida in the mail yesterday. Included in the envelope was a flier, “How to apply for Florida licensure”.

All the way at the bottom it says:

    – Submit CPA Original Licensure application and nonrefundable fee…

    – Score 80% (20 out of 25) on the Florida Laws and Rules Examination.

Does anyone know anything about this? This is the first I’ve heard of this test. What kind of questions are on it?

    REG - Nov 4, 2013: 88
    FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86
    AUD - April 5, 2014: 91
    BEC - May 6, 2014: 83

    Florida CPA 24 July 2014
(Done in seven months - thank you Jesus!!)

Just to help make sure, since that was the re-establishment FAQ, I also found this page where it talks about that rule being repealed: https://www.flrules.org/gateway/RuleNo.asp?title=EXAMINATIONS&ID=61H1-28.007

But you might want to call them to confirm. At the very least to let them know they should probably update their paperwork!

    Congrats!!!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Interesting … you got a notice from the state of Florida, and you haven't passed all four yet? Do you live in Florida, or are you taking it in another state? I just went through the entire process, and never saw this. I live in Florida, passed the exam, and the only thing I EVER received in the mail from the state was my actual license and certificate.

    Weird.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.
