Today is the 1st day that anyone should be receiving scores… probably those close to Raleigh. By the time we get our scores, the rest of the forum has moved on. So, post here if you are happy or sad!!! Post your city and section so others can get an idea when to check their mailboxes.

I am waiting for my final!

Charlotte, REG… doubt I’ll get it today since REG was put in the mail late yesterday… I’m expecting tomorrow (Friday).

    BEC - Pass 10/2010
    FAR - Pass 10/2010
    AUD - Pass 11/2010
    REG - Pass 05/2011

I am waiting on my AUD score. I work in Winston and live in southwest VA. It usually takes 2-3 days to get my score. I'll be saying lots of prayers for the next couple of days…AUD really caught me off guard!!

    Awesome.

So, its now the 2nd day of the new testing window and we have confirmation that one person has received a score for the REG section!

    Nothing yet for AUD

    Nothing yet for FAR

    Nothing yet for BEC.

and STILL no word as to whether they've even received BEC in North Carolina to prepare for mailing….

JUST THINK: If, if…..IF anyone should fail their sections; they get to snailmail there re-application/re-payment into these same offices and do what??

    WAIT.

    ::shaking fist in the air::

Just a headsup, my classmate (who is also obviously in North Carolina) received both his REG and FAR score in the mail two days ago. He passed both. So all of those should be out there. But I took BEC the same testing window as 12 of my classmates and none of us have received our score.

    AUD (97)
    BEC (80)
    FAR (78)
    REG (92)
    DONE!!!!!!

Congratulations bcox that's some awesome awesomness right there!

We now have confirmation that scores are dribbling in around the NC/VA area for FAR REG and AUD!

That, in and of itself is a beautiful thing.

Now where are those confounded BEC scores and why are we still waiting for them to be placed into the post !!!!!

I wonder who has to retire (or pass away from old age) before The State decides it'll come out of the stone age and allow candidates to apply/re-apply and receive scores on-line using these magical e-lectronic typing-box machine things?

With the sheer volumes of questions being asked regarding IT in the BEC exams coupled with the fact there is this thing called “The Research Triangle Park” with companies like: IBM, Cisco, Ericsson, Redhat/Linux just minutes from Raleigh (and SAS just 10 minutes down the road in Cary) one would think maybe they'd actually be moving towards embracing some of the technological achievements forged in the 20th century….buhht NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I guess there is no chance we receive our scores tomorrow is there?

    AUD (97)
    BEC (80)
    FAR (78)
    REG (92)
    DONE!!!!!!

Carolina_Blues…Boy, I hate that you're having to wait so long for that score. Of course the last one is the one that seems like it will never come! I'll say a prayer for you 🙂

I see that you finished the ethics course. Do you have any details on that like who to contact, how long it takes, how much it costs, etc? I'm getting ready to look into that since I'm down to my last section.

    Thank you very much!

umm…well, I'm not endorsing this particular website because I found that you can purchase the same(similar) product elsewhere but there appears to be little difference in cost. Hopefully Jeff won't mind my posting this CE link:

    https://www.cpa2biz.com/AST/Main/CPA2BIZ_Primary/Ethics/PRDOVR~PC-732302/PC-732302.jsp

Once you've paid, the book takes about 3-4 business days to arrive from Durham. I could have gone cd and no book I suppose but I had some space on the bookshelf and trees can be re-planted so I don't feel too awfully guilty about leaving it on a shelf if I never look at it again.

That said, I could have easily finished in far less time had I not been interested in reading and making the best of all the material provided. I ‘spose when I drop 130 dollars on a book I cannot help but give it a thorough once over.

My accounting 450 course in school was heavy in ethics and honestly, far more informative that this text….but whatever.

One could easily skim the material for test answers without reading all the examples and scenarios they provide.

The text comes with a code to enter on-line. I guess they give you three chances to score 90 or better. Should you “fail” 3 times, they've enclosed a paper “Scantron” form to mail in your grades for a “fourth” try.

I took it once. I missed 2 questions…I should have read the questions a little closer.

I read the book thoughtfully. Frankly, I gave it more credit than it was due after wracking my brain on CPA exam review materials I guess I expected this ethics thing to be a much bigger bear than it was.

It took me two…maybe 2.5 days to take it all in and read into it all the scenarios I could envision them possibly asking me to make tricky questions.

In hind sight, I would have read through the questions at the end of the book FIRST…then read the material.
