Decided to start this Group for eveyrone that MUST PASS in 2013!!!…especially if you are a California CA CPA Candidate. The rules change in 2014 for California Candidates!!! You will have to gain further academic requirements before you can apply for CPA licensure in 2014.

Here’s the great kicker…If you pass the CPA exams….ALL 4 exams by 2013…You get a 2-year grace period till 2015.

All you folks that want, need, have to pass in 2013,,,,,This Group is for you!!!

What can you do better, more efficiently, and faster to guarantee you pass????…

Gee, this Group could be for everyone.

No excuses!!!! You will pass…!! What can you do to guarantee your success? Give it some thought and post for all the rest.

justshants, the requirements for sitting for the exam in CA are not changing. Only for getting the license. So you're good as far as continuing to take exams.

Yep can still sit the exams after Jan 2014.. just can't get licensed unless you have 150 Semester hours and they want you to have particular courses that should be part of the 150 semester hours.

@justshants taking one or two classes is annoying, but think about how much worse it could be!!

I didn't take any accounting/business classes in college so, afterwards, I took exactly 24 units of accounting and 24 units of business to sit for my exams. So if I don't pass in time, I'm going to have to take another 21 units in accounting study/ethics. I'll definitely be using the maximum of 9 units from other skill-based courses (I was a Comm major), so at least it's not 30.

Decided to revive this thread…

I'm getting so anxious! It's all come down to one exam for me. If I pass REG, I'm in.. if not, I have to take so many extra classes to fulfill the new requirements. When I started this process, I thought there was no way I could pass all the exams on my first try within just 2 windows. But I figured I would give it a shot. Now that it is actually a possibility, I'm a nervous wreck! I really wish I didn't save REG for last because I'm exhausted and SO sick of studying. Plus, I'm starting to daydream a little too much about all my holiday shopping. Really not sure if I can get through this… but it would be so disappointing to get this far and have my last exam be the reason I don't make the deadline in time!

Stressing out! Any one else in the same boat?

I am also very nervous about REG, especially since I only gave myself 6 weeks to prepare for REG (FAR was a beast and required more prep time than I had originally planned). If I pass FAR, I will have a tremendous amount of pressure to pass REG. I will try to use that pressure as motivation to keep studying.
