    Do you have to be a licensed CPA to advertise you or your business as doing “accounting” work? In ND you do..in other words, if I’m unlicensed I can tell people I do tax work or bookkeeping, but I can’t tell them I do accounting and I cannot call myself an accountant.

    If the MN rules are the same as the ND rules, can you tell me where I can find that rule? Thank you in advance for your help!

    But it appears in MN, they also have a designation called a RAP (Registered Accounting Practitioner) that can hold out as being licensed to perform (limited) accounting work.
