    Hi,

I took my CPA tests in 2010, got my work experience in 2012-13 and finally finished off my additional 30 credits at the end of 2014 and was licensed in February, 2015. Yay!!

Now, I’m moving in November to California, and was wondering what is the quickest way to become licensed in CA. I read through Cal CPA site but its very vague.

Do I apply as licensed candidate in New York? Do i try to transfer my test scores and file an initial license application?

Will I need to take any classes again?

Any help maneuvering this bureaucratic system is appreciated!

The California board of accountancy has always been very helpful. If you call in the morning you almost always get a person. There is information on page 19-20 of this PDF https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/publications/applbook.pdf

@leviticus I know this is OT but where did you get your work experience? Also I think bc you are already licensed you should be able to transfer to CA if you meet all the requirements
