KY licensure

I’ve recently passed all 4 parts of the exam but I am unable to obtain the CPA license from the board in my state because I have not worked in public accounting.

Based on Kentucky requirements, I meet all the prereq’s. My plan is to transfer my test scores from my state to KY.

Anyone have any experience with this plan? Would the KY licensing board take issue with this process considering I am doing this because I meet their requirements and am ineligible in my state.

    Any comments appreciated.

I went through the same scenario. It was very easy and it didn't take too long to get licensed. You will need to fill an application form, pay some fee and meet KY licensure requirements . Also I had to request for a score release form from the state I wrote the exam at , which was sent to KY board of accountancy with a charge. In total, I submitted my transcript, score release form, experience verification form, application form and the fee. In all everything was so stress free, you will be fine. Just follow the instructions and you will be good. Also, you don't have to state that you want to transfer your scores because you couldn't meet the requirement from the other state. I cant remember answering any question of sort on the form or verbally. Just send an email requesting information for getting licensed and score transfers. They are very responsive, you may also need to call them if you need a fast response.

    Far - Passed 83
    Aud - Passed 84
    Bec - Passed 77
    Reg- Passed 77
