So I passed all of my exams by December, 2010. I haven’t received anything from ILBOA ever since I got my last score letter in early January. Is anyone else waiting on their letters in Illinois?n

I'm from IL…
nI passed all of my exams (& ethics) in Oct 2010, my grades were online in Nov 2010, and I rec'd my certificate (w/certificate#) in early-mid Dec 2010. You can locate your certificate# online @ ILBOA.

I Sent in my applications for licensure/and registration to the ILDPR in mid-Dec and finally rec'd my license this past week.

There was something on the ILBOA website that said everyone who passed all parts of the exam (& ethics) were sent their certificates in mid-Feb 2011… they had a large volume of candidates in the Oct/Nov 2010 window to process. So, if you haven't rec'd your certificate I would definitely call them. Because you need your certificate# to apply for your license and/or registration from the ILDPR.n

Turned out that ILBOA hadn't received my AICPA Ethics exam score which I completed in JUNE. I had AICPA to resubmit the score the get that start cooking.n

That's a good thing that you called them!… so now @ least you know what the hold-up was!

Once you get your certificate #… which you also will be able to see online… send in your application for registration and/or licensure ASAP. I waited 2 1/2 months B4 I rec'd my license!… apparently lots of appls, not too many people processing the appls. A bit frustrating, because you can't use “CPA” until you're either registered or licensed (in IL).

But, finally… everything is done for me… and, I can now put CPA after my name! Sure feels great!

So I just passed all the parts… I need to do the ethics portion now. Can someone please give me some guidance on the next steps as far as what to do to take this part, how to study, when to take the exam etc.

I had to call ILBOA and then AICPA to get AICPA to send my ethics score too. They said there is a problem where “sometimes” ethics doesn't get sent. Sometimes? More like all the time.
