CPA Exam Community,
Will a degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting at University of Phoenix meet the requirements to sit for the exam in California?
I will have well over 150 units and a bachelor’s degree after completion. I’m just not 100% sure if all the courses apply to the 24 semester units in accounting-related subjects and the 24 semester units in business-related subjects to sit for the exam. I’m worried that I won’t have enough accounting related courses.
Here are all the courses I have with UOP (each course worth 3 semester units):
– BCOM/275 BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS AND CRITICAL THINKING
– BIS/220 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AND SYSTEMS
– MGT/230 MANAGEMENT THEORY AND PRACTICE
– ACC/290 PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING I
– ACC/291 PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING II
– RES/351 BUSINESS RESEARCH
– ETH/316 ETHICS AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
– MGT/311 ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
– ECO/372 PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS
– LAW/421 CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS LAW
– ECO/365 PRINCIPLES OF MICROECONOMICS
– FIN/370 FINANCE FOR BUSINESS
– MKT/421 MARKETING
– QNT/351 QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS FOR BUSINESS
– BUS/475 INTEGRATED BUSINESS TOPICS
– MKT/498 INTEGRATED MARKETING STRATEGY
– MKT/435 CONSUMER BEHAVIOR
– MKT/441 MARKETING RESEARCH
– MKT/431 SMALL BUSINESS MARKETING
– MKT/411 GREEN MARKETING
