Sorry if this is a poor place to ask this question, but considering you have all been through this process I thought it would be a great opportunity to find some answers and I thank everyone in advance. If this needs to be moved please do so, but I am truly just looking for some help.
I am currently an accounting major in NJ and have obtained 33 credits in accountancy and 9 in business, 6 in business law, 6 in economics, and 6 in finance. Firstly, do my 9+6+6+6 all count as business related courses or do they need to strictly be classes that are denoted by a “BA”, for business administration?
For the CPA exam, I meet the Accounting credit requirement but am unsure if I meet the 24 business credit requirement.
Secondly, I anticipate to graduate with a bachelors in Accounting with 132 credits, leaving me 18 short. I plan to take summer courses to make up for the deficit at a local community college. Since I have already met all of my requirements (accounting/business credits) does it matter what classes I take to make up the 18 credits?
For example, if I have already taken an art class, but see that art history I is offered, how do I know if it would be compatible or would just overlap my previous course? Would taking this course not count for anything if I already have completed an art class that may be able to serve as a viable alternative?
Because it is a community college, I will have a tough time finding any courses in accounting/business that I have not already completed so I am trying to figure out my options. Could I just take classes such as Health, Sociology, etc?
I appreciate all of the help and if anyone has any tips or recommendations I would love to hear them. Thanks!!!
