This is a part fact-finding, part venting post….

I submitted the GA CPA license application to NASBA way back in December (16th). I got the approval email on Friday (1/10), at which time it was sent over to Georgia to issue the license. HOWEVER, I contacted the Georgia hoping to get my license # a bit early… only to find out I have to waiting another 25 business days so they can review my application.

Review WHAT?!? I thought NASBA did that already. What’s the point of sending the application to NASBA if Georgia is going to review it again?

Is this a legit wait period? Or did a get a default answer from whoever is answering their phones? Please share some info that will put my mind at ease…
