Form 4B is older – NYS

I submitted form 4B back when I left public accounting in 2012 and now in 2019 I have finally passed the CPA exam. My question is about if the form 4B from back then is enough (i worked in public for three years so it’s the right amount of time) but is the fact that it’s from back in 2012 going to be a problem with the NYS Board? No one on the phone of the state board office will tell me either way because the people who answer the phone are useless.

I’ve met all the requirements to be licensed just wondering if for some reason the aboard would deny it for something related to this?
Many thanks advance! You all are a blessing!

Some states have requirements of the work experience being within the last year or 2, but I am not aware of NYS having that requirement.
I think as long as your file was still active, and they have retained the Form 4B, I would think you are okay. That's more assumptions that I would be comfortable with and can appreciate your apprehension. I might advise that you dig into the actual CPA laws/by-laws for NYS to see if you can find a definitive answer.
