The Louisiana state board received my application two months ago and I’m still waiting. I call usually once a week but I get the same answer that my application is being processed.

I got my last score on 3/8 and found my license number online late March or early April. I will check at the office tomorrow morning and let you know what date.

I just looked at my certificate and it was dated for April 5th, Kricket and I got our license numbers online the same day so I am thinking that must have been the date it was complete. Got my certificate in the mail on June 20.

Just found my fb post where I posted I was licensed which was on April 4th and we had received our last passing scores on March 8th.

Thanks for the replies. I talked with my sister who works with someone who is also waiting for their license. She said that her friend was told that the licenses wouldn't be issued until the board met again at the end of January which is the opposite of what I was told. I guess I'll make another call.

@lsutigers03, did you pass in the third quarter? If so, per their recent Agenda (Oct. 22-24), they reviewed the applications for those candidates that passed in the third quarter. Here's the link: https://cpaboard.state.la.us/board-2/

I sat on 10/2 and received my scores 11/4 and sent my application (by mail) on 11/7. I believe your friend is correct about the next board meeting. The site mentions the next meeting will be held at the end of Jan. I believe the process is quicker if one sits for the last exam towards the end of a testing window. I don't expect my license number until Jan 2015. If it comes sooner, Merry Christmas to me, lol.

Hmmm, in the middle of writing this, I checked April 2014 Agenda. It was held on 4/22-4/23. They reviewed those who passed in the first quarter. So this contradicts my theory as Kricket and bnrhilton received their license # on 4/4. They both passed in the first quarter. So they received their license # before the board meeting? I'm now officially confused…

There's nothing that I can do about it. I'm just happy that I passed, and don't have to go to study on my free time. Great timing too, it's the Holiday season. I'm savoring this moment while it lasts.

    F: Apr 14' Passed
    A: May 14' Passed
    R: Jul 14' Passed
B: Aug 14' Rematch in Oct *Passed*

My license is actually dated 4/3/13. I don't if this helps or not.

@The Ex Lurker – I did pass my last exam in the third quarter. I received my last score on 09/08 I believe but the state board didn't receive my application until 09/29 because the person who signed off on my experience lives out of state and it took me a little longer to get the letter from them. I was told that I needed to get my application in 30 days before the board met but I missed that by about a week. My sisters friend did get it in before 30 days but she still hasn't received a license number. Someone at the state board told me that the board simply ratified new licensees at their meeting and that licenses were given out after an application was approved and not once a quarter.
