    Hello Everyone:

I am just beginning my CPA exam journey. I am in the middle of filling out the exam application for Florida and I have a couple of questions:

1.) One question asks if you have had any felonies, misdemeanors, or traffic offenses (other than parking, speeding, inspection, or traffic signal violations). I received a citation for careless driving a couple years ago when I was involved in a minor traffic accident. I paid the fine which was $160, I believe, and completed an online traffic course to keep the points off of my license. Am I required to report this ticket on my exam application? If I answer this question as “yes”, the application is asking for necessary documentation from the courts. I don’t have any documentation from the courts as this was a minor traffic violation and happened a couple of years ago.

2.) The application asks what sections I am interested in taking. It lists all four sections and you select yes or no by each one. I am interested in taking all four at some point, but am only starting with FAR. Should I say yes to all, or yes to FAR and no to the others? I was originally going to say yes to all, but the next question asks how I would like to receive my NTS. This leads me to believe if I said yes to all 4 then I would receive my NTS for all 4 parts, which I am not ready for.

Only select the exams which you are interested in taking in the next 6 months. I don't know what the time period is for Florida, but in Georgia, each NTS is good for 6 months. I hate to see you throw away money if you are not going to sit for all 4 sections on one NTS.
