I graduated this May with an Accounting concentration (I didn’t realize I wanted to do accounting until late) and am playing catch up with my credits. Classes at my school were 3.5 credits per course and somehow I ended up with 23.5 credits and I have taken all the required courses to sit for the CPA, including the two Business Law classes. The upper division class I took was Law and the Accountant so I was hoping it would also count towards the 24 upper division accounting hours but after my 100th time trying to get in touch with the FL board I realized it probably wont. I start work in January and am already planning to take a full semester of accounting classes so I can be license ready when I start. I want to start taking the CPA as soon as possible so I was hoping someone had some advice or insight on how i should approach this. I am enrolled in three classes and was looking for a 4th online so i was thinking my only option is probably to take an online class at U of Phoenix since they are only 5 weeks long (as opposed to finishing all 4 in December and not having time to sit for the exam). The classes are a little pricey so its not my first choice but I cant seem to find other classes online that I haven’t taken or finish soon enough. thanks to anyone who actually took the time to read this whole thing!
