About to apply for CPA online in NY. Cost for application and FAR is $321. However I am not sure if I am eligible to sit for exam. I have over 120 credits but not a Bachelors Degree. What happens if I apply and NASBA says I am not eligible to sit yet. Do I lose the money

You'll lose your application fee, which I think is $125 for first time applicants in NY (or maybe $75). You have 120 credits though, that's all you need in NY to be eligible to sit. You must complete 150 credits to be licensed, but you can still take all of the exams. Hope that helps!

    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Call or email your state board. The people there (at least I've found in MA) are very helpful in addressing specific questions instead of just relying on speculation or internet advice.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Sorry wish I could help…Its been so long since I put up my initial licensure….I remember I didn't qualify at first, and they sent me a letter explaining what I needed to do, and yes they kept my money LOL… I was short one business law class and one finance class. They are very specific on which courses you need to have in that 120…you can't have 120 worth of just plain old liberal arts and expect to be able to take the exam

I think if you withdraw your application you can get a partial refund, but if you want to apply again, you will have to pay again.

    NEW YORK- DONE
