Hello, I have 121 hours and a person needs 150 in PA to get a CPA license.
A baccalaureate or higher degree from a college or university accredited by a Nationally recognized accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or approved by the Board and completed a total of 150 semester credits of post-secondary education, including at least 24 semester credits of accounting and auditing, business law, finance or tax subjects of a content satisfactory to the Board, not necessarily as part of the candidate’s undergraduate or graduate work, and an additional 12 semester credits in accounting, auditing and tax subjects of a content satisfactory to the Board, not necessarily as part of the candidate’s undergraduate or graduate work.
Here are my some of my classes that can count towards 24 credits
Accounting principles 3
Managerial Accounting 3
Business Law 3
Econ Macro 3
Econ Micro 3
Financial accounting 3
Practical accounting 3
Financing Analysis 3
Intermediate Accounting I 3
total 2712 accounting credits
Intermediate Accounting II 3
Government and Non profit accounting 3
Advanced accounting 3
Accounting capstone 3Is this alright or would I need more classes in auditing and Taxation? I need about 30 credits to get to 150 for the CPA license. I was thinking about taking random classes at local community college or maybe an MBA or MSA to get to CPA. Any thoughts? evaluations?
Does this look alright for state PA or do I need more classes in accounting?
