    Hello all,

I am new to this board. To start off I am taking the CPA exam in New York. I have already passed my first part of the exam. (AUD). I currently only have 120 credits. I was wondering if I my exam credits will expire if I do not obtain the 150 credits by the time my AUD exam expires which is 12/31/13. Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Uh not really sure about your question, your audit credit will expire in 18 months regardless. You need to pass all four sections within 18 months of passing the first. Doesn't matter that you dont have 150 credits. They dont give you more time just because you havent finished school.

    R PASS
    A PASS
    B PASS
    F AUGUST

Check with your state board. In PA, if you get grandfathered in, you'll remain grandfathered in, even if you lose credit due to expiration on the exam that grandfathered you in.

    BEC: Passed
    AUD: Passed
    REG: Passed
    FAR: Passed

Sorry for not being clear before but my question is if I pass all 4 parts within 18 months how long do I have to apply for the license (get the credits and work experience)…

once you pass all 4, they do NOT expire. Pass all 4 parts, go to school get your 120 credits, get your work experience and then apply for the license.
