I thought passing the cpa exams was hard but the Ethics exam….I can’t seem to get it above 74%! plus I have already used all 6 attempts and have to pay for it again.
Please help me!! Are there really answers in the materials?? I thought I got the right answer but the score just doesn’t go up.
jknamm, that is wonderful news! Thanks for posting. Your license is a good as in your mailbox. 🙂 Now you have to get your fingerprints done with LiveScan if you didn't yet. That is another pain in the a**, for me, anyway, because it does not work. But CA says I still had to get it done twice, wait for two failures, and after that they finally do the background check with my name.
UCMCPA, no, I don't think all the states are the same with the Ethics exam. Some posters from other states report their exams being very easy.

Hey littlenumber, congratulations! I've said this over and over but it never gets old: that ethics exam is horrible, not to mention dumb. Does anyone ever use that minutiae in real life? I understand the goal of trying to strictly define “independence” and it's not a bad goal. However I don't think those rules, even if you could remember them all exactly, accomplish the goal.

Congrats, littlenumberrobot! We have something similar in Texas and I did not pass the first attempt. I think I put too much thought into it because it kicked my butt. Fingers crossed for passing the second attempt.
