I passed all 4 parts and was registered in NH to sit for the exam. I don’t reside in NH or work in NH. I don’t know if I can get a license there. Anyone have any idea? The only reason I register to take the exams there was because I am 15 credit shy to the 150 credit requirement in my current state. If NH doesn’t work out. Is there any other state that doesn’t have the 150 credit requirement and residency requirement? Thanks! I really hope I don’t need the get the extra 15 credits!

@Keliu NH doesn't require you to live there, go to its website and read carefully the guidelines for the licence. I'm international applicant and my experiencie is highly accepted, as well as my studies.

You have to read the whole stuff about licence but it worths, see if your experience fulfills what they need.

And you can always call them or e-mail them if you need help, they will respond to you!

    Good luck!!

@CPAHereIAM, I think it's different for international candidate. Can you send me the link where you see the requirements?

    Thanks

    @Keliu Sorry I just connected!

    Here is the link:

    https://nasba.org/licensure/nasbalicensing/new-hampshire/

About the work experience, as you can see below, doesn't restrict you in a place, actually opens up the possibilities to foreign applicants like me as well (is not that is for foreigners, but encompass international experience as well), so it says”

    Experience

Experience gained in Public Accounting, Government or Private Practice or a combination of any are considered acceptable by the New Hampshire Board.

    Bachelor’s degree – four-year college degree

Two years (12 calendar months) of experience

Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or Business Administration

One year (12 calendar months) of experience

    Note:

Full time experience – each year must be at least 1,500 hours in accounting and/or audit skills.

Non full-time experience – each year must be 2,080 hours with 1,500 hours in accounting and/or audit skills. Only experience gained within six years immediately preceding the date application is received is acceptable for two year requirement and five years for one year requirement.

Experience must be verified by one of the following:

    CPA from U.S.

    CPA or CA from Australia

CA from Canada, Ireland and/or New Zealand

Contadores Publicos Certificado (CPC) from Mexico

    This is very helpful: https://www.nh.gov/jtboard/boafaq.htm

    As per Residency:

    Residency

There is not a residency requirement for the state of New Hampshire.

Read well the website, probably what you need to think is where you want to live and practice!

    Hope it helps!

Most CPAs will not take the risk to endorse your experience if you havent worked directly under them or in the same firm.

I copied the faq below from Michigan CPA Board, check with your state board to see if they have the same response.

QUESTION: I noticed the law requires a CPA to verify my experience. Does that mean I

have to be directly supervised by a CPA?

ANSWER: No, a Certified Public Accountant must be able to “verify” that you did in fact

complete 2,000 hours in one or more of the 19 areas of qualifying experience. This means

that you do not need to work directly under a CPA. By signing the legal document verifying

your experience, the CPA is making a legal statement and is subject to penalty under the

law should their verification be fraudulent.

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!
