I’m intensely irritated right now. I mailed my CPA license application in the middle of March. At the beginning of May I called the board to ask the status of my application. The person on the phone tries to tell me that they mailed me or e-mailed me a letter stating they were missing my birth certificate (honest mistake on my own part). The thing that pissed me off was that they said they mailed it a month prior.. They were nice enough to let me e-mail the birth certificate copy.

I then go back to the waiting game. The person on the phone claimed that was all they needed for my application.

A week ago I e-mail the person to check up on the status and see if I was just waiting for board approval. This afternoon I get an email back saying that they were just waiting for my passport photo.

WHATTTTTTT???? How is this now just being brought up?! And I’m 99% sure that my photo was attached to the application. I had spent literally an hour at work trying to get this stupid photo to print to the correct size. At one point I printed my headshot as a poster size (was pretty funny having a 16 page puzzle of my head). I’m wondering if I had stapled the stupid picture to the paper after forgetting that you’re not suppose to staple it and because there was a staple the person is being nit-picky and asking for another photo.

I had scanned a copy of my application and sent it to myself (go figure it’s on my usb which is at work). I’m hoping I can at least give myself some satisfaction tomorrow when I open the scan and see my picture attached to it. Though it won’t really do me any good because obviously I’m just going to have to re-send the stupid thing. I’m also hoping the person will just accept it by email (but I have a feeling this won’t be accepted because of how specific the formatting is suppose to be).

Anyone else have any annoying bumps they ran into when submitting their license paper work?

I did run into some trouble when sending in my initial application in order to sit for the exam. They hadn't received one of my transcripts and I waited over a month and I was never notified. I had to pay extra for my school to overnight it over and thankfully it arrived and I was able to get my NTS a week later. I hadn't started to study until I had my NTS just in case something happened. I feel like I missed a lot of potential study time but some things you can't change.
