Colorado License time line? - Page 8

    So how long did it take others in Colorado to receive their license from initial application? I submitted my application on December 16 and am still waiting. I did receive an email today so that my application had been approved and that it was being prepared for transmission to the Board. Hopefully soon, but it seems like it’s taking much longer than anticipated

    Yeah, they're definitely not getting that box of goodies from me!

    “We will return your call within 24 – 48 business hours”. I wonder if they realize that's 3-6 business days, so over a week technically. Not that they ever return calls. When they were NOT busy a few months back they wouldn't return calls, but would return emails about 3-5 days later.

    Boo on that! I really am hoping since we have our applications in, complete and approved before the deadline we are good. But I agree I am having a rough time with not having my certificate yet 🙁

    Good news! I just got this email, “Your application is approved and being prepared for transmission to the Board of Accountancy. NO ACTION NEEDED.”

    So in one day I got my QA email and approval email. So apparently they are working diligently to get all the apps in before the deadline. And a license number comes up on my app with the red expired on the top right next to my license number.

    Good news indeed. We still don't know for sure that this is enough, but like i said, i don't see why they would even bother if it weren't.

    I just wish we knew if we really had to wait until Friday to be transmitted to the Board or if there is a special run tonight since the rules change tomorrow…… That's the piece I can't get anywhere……

    @knewman, they must be holding a meeting today, otherwise CO303 would not have received that last email.

    That's another of the issues that make it confusing. You get an email saying your stuff will be sent to the board Friday (which for CO303 was today), and after that you get a separate email saying you're approved and your stuff will be sent to the board…. and you're left wondering, well did the board see it or not?

    That's it exactly. Nasba says I'm approved and gave me a license number but does Colorado agree 🙁 Today is going to be a long day 🙁

    Well, the 3 of us: Colorado303, Knewman31, and myself all have license #s, they all show as expired, and none of us are showing up in DORA yet. I've had mine since Saturday, CO303 passed both QA and board today, and I'm not sure about you, Knewman, but I don't see why they would have rushed to get CO303 a license # if it did not count. Perhaps it still does not count but there is another step that will be performed tonight that does count. Who knows.

    At least we're all in the same boat. If I get through by some miracle (which I think would have to be limited to someone picking up the phone to make a call at the same moment my call goes through, I don't see them picking up on purpose anymore), I will of course let you guys know. Please do the same.

    I am so grateful that you two are on here and posting!

    PS I left messages with the DORA licensing supervisor this morning as well, and nothing. I did talk to a live person at DORA who transferred me there but she was not able to answer the question.

    I was going to try one more time to call and confirm. If I hear anything I will let you guys know! I really think they will transmit to the CO Board today if what they say is true that all licenses must be issued before July 1.

    I'm still trying to call too. So far no luck all day. I got both the QA email and the being transmitted to the board email today. I just hope something goes to the board tonight and we can all breathe a sigh of relief tomorrow morning.

    I did not get another email but i have an exp date! !!! Check yours!!!!

    Still nothing on DORA, but it looks legitimate now without the big red expired!
