So how long did it take others in Colorado to receive their license from initial application? I submitted my application on December 16 and am still waiting. I did receive an email today so that my application had been approved and that it was being prepared for transmission to the Board. Hopefully soon, but it seems like it’s taking much longer than anticipated

I just hate not having anything in writing saying I'm good. I'm sure Nasba wouldn't lie on purpose lol the wait for the here is your license email is killing me slowly…..

Those of us with a license # and a big red “expired” – is anyone planning on calling if no updates tomorrow or are we just assuming it's okay?

I called and finally got thru and no updates on my license from Friday 🙁 Nasba said to call back tomorrow before 4pm CST. The wait continues……

When did you submit your app? Did they say they would get it processed in time or did they just leave you hanging?

Worst case, you could probably knock out that class out of the way online with minimal effort.

App submitted 6/9 like an idiot I missed a signature. Got the qa asking for signature Friday. Sent it in and called to make sure they got everything and they said app is complete but I've gotten no thing else. Hoping against hope I'm good. Fingers crossed!!

Your app was submitted the day before mine. You missed a signature, i had to redo 2 forms (which i did right away).

I don't understand why you're behind me. Seems it's better that the initial review catches it rather than qa. Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow. You were way ahead of the deadline so i don't see why you would not be okay. It's not like you waited a week to give them that form. I would call first thing tomorrow and remind them you turned it in almost a week before their deadline! Good luck!

That's crazy how applications can move at different speeds 🙁 Hopefully I will get some news today. Tried calling twice this morning and I think everyone else in Colorado must be calling too :(.

Are they even open yet? It's 7:30 and I thought they opened at 830-9.

I think you are right because I know from experience that the # closes at 3 mountain time.

I tried calling twice this morning getting the “high volume of phone calls” recording which prompted me to leave a message, which I didn't. About an hour ago I received an email saying “Your application has passed quality assurance and been found eligible for licensure. Your application and license information will be transmitted this Friday to the Board of Accountancy. You will be notified via e-mail of your application’s progress.” It is kind of crazy how long that took considering I applied on 6/11. Is there another step after this before you are officially approved? I am concerned as we all know that today is the last day.

We can't be the only ones wondering what, if anything, will happen today, and the implication on our licenses? Anyone have any ideas?

If you have a red expired and a license #, does that mean you're good? The thing that most concerns me is this disclaimer from a licensing@nasba email:

ATTENTION: On and after July 1, 2015, the Board cannot issue a certificate to an applicant who has not satisfied the requirements of Rule 2.5 regardless of the date on which the application was received by NASBA.

I don't technically have a certificate. As previously stated, if only they were more transparent with the process, this would be easier for all of us.

I, too, have been calling, and am beginning to wonder if they'll pick up the phone at all today.

@Colorado303, I think the very next step is “officially approved”. The email I got after the one you mentioned stated “Your application is approved and being prepared for transmission to the Board of Accountancy. NO ACTION NEEDED.” However, the email you just received also states you'll be transmitted to the Board of Accountancy Friday, so I thought these two emails are confusing. But I don't know where you have to be in the process by the end of today to be done under the old rule.

Immediately after I got that email, I had a license # and a red EXPIRED on mycpalicense.com. Nothing has changed from that yet (even though I logged in 100 times between now and then).

This is like last score release, but without as many people also worrying and keeping me entertained. Time is not moving today!
