I lived in PA and needed 48 semester hours in accounting related subjects to sit for the CPA exam. I was a business major at the time with 12 accounting credits but a ton of accounting related courses such as finance. After passing all four sections of the exam I completed a Masters Degree in Accounting. I never got licensed in PA because didn’t meet the Attest part of the work experience requirements.
Present day I moved to California to be with my family. I can’t transfer my exam credit because at the time that I sat and passed the exam I didn’t have 24 accounting credits required by CA. Keep in mind present day I exceed all those requirements. Looking like my only option if I want to stay in CA is to reapply and take the all the exams over again.
Did anyone else run into similar situation or find a way around it?
